Turkey introduces safeguard measures on containerboard imports.

Turkey has decided to introduce safeguard measures of $85-87/t on imports of certain corrugated case material (CCM) grades as of end of July. Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan approved and signed the corresponding document and the new regulation was published in the Official Journal on 28 June.

The safeguard measures will enter into force 30 days after its publication in the Official Journal and apply for a period of three years. The tariffs will amount to $87/t in the first year, and will be reduced to $86/t and $85/t in the next two years, respectively.
